In anticipation of the 2015 Midem Conference in June, the finalists for the grand Midemlab prize have been announced! DBTH is happy to share that among all of the top music-tech and entertainment start-ups this year, the new music discovery mobile application The Best Song is one of the this year’s nominees in the category of Music Discovery, Recommendation, and Creation!

The Best Song, a music playlist creating and sharing Tinder-esque French start-up,  allows users to vote and defend their favorite songs while following different music curatorial influencers (records, medias, festivals…) as well.

Here at DBTH, we are proud of our friends (and clients) at The Best Song and are excited to see them take the stage June 5th-8th at the Midemlab competition in Cannes! The app will also be presented at the Primavera Music Festival’s start-up contest in Barcelona.

For more information about The Best Song and the other start-ups selected to compete at MIDEM, take a look over here!

And as good things come in threes, the numbers coming in for The Best Song are also a good omen:

  • 15,000 downloads in only 2 weeks
  • 20,000 songs listened to every day
  • And already 400,000 swipes

We wish our clients and friends at The Best Song the best in continuing this successful launch which (we hope) will be furthered with new collaborations and supporters at MIDEM and Primavera BCN
